The work of Dennis Kucinich was repeatedly mentioned throughout the evening.  With the support of the vast majority of Americans, Kucinich filed and brought to the floor articles of impeachment against Dick Cheney.  He has worked to stop the war in Iraq, prevent war with Iran, protect immigrants rights, protect youth rights, protect and restore civil rights and civil liberties, restore the Constitution, abolish nuclear weapons, abolish the death penalty, bring about free college, and guarantee a living wage and universal health care to all Americans.   Youth member Alex H., former secretary of the club, who will be voting for the first time in February, stated, "Dennis has a practical, realistic plan to bring the American dream to all Americans.  His record is one of following through with his promises.  He is an inspiration to all future leaders,"

Members of the Creative Youth News Team have conducted research into the funding of  behavior modification schools/camps (AKA Gulag Schools) that torture, rape and murder children.  Often these children come home in body bags or coffins.   When a major owner/operator of a chain of these Gulag Schools heads a defense fund for an indicted vice presidential aide or hosts a fundraiser or co-chairs a campaign finance committee for a popular Presidential candidate,  there is an appearance that government officials have been paid for looking the other way while child abuse, torture and murder continues.  When a sitting Governor joins the board of and writes letters supporting the work of a human rights violator operating in his state, victims know they are unlikely to receive justice in that state.  When a President appoints ambassadors who founded such torture facilities, when the Senate confirms those ambassadors and when a United Nations complaint is filed against one such ambassador by the American survivors of his facilities, a red flag should go up so high that Congress investigates.

From Hawaii to Maine, Dennis Kucinich won state after state in the Progressive Democrats of America poll, leaving John Edwards, Barack Obama and the other candidates in the dust.  Kucinich had landslide victories in most of the 46 states he won outright.  Edwards was wiped out in Washington, the only state Edwards won in the Democracy for America poll, that included ten times as many voters as the PDA poll.  Edwards' dismal second place showing was much closer to 3rd place Obama in votes than to the runaway front runner, Dennis Kucinich.

Kucinich won big in all states with the most electoral votes.  He frequently won by receiving a multiple of the number of votes received by John Edwards.  An example is Hawaii, where Kucinich received over eight times as many votes as Edwards.

Barack Obama seems to believe that his personal charm can resolve the myriad contradictions of his presidential campaign. A phony "anti-war" candidate who wants to vastly enlarge the war machine, a constitutional lawyer who needs Rev. Jesse Jackson to remind him that something awful happened in Jena, Louisiana - Obama's disconnect from any actual constituency becomes more visible by the day. His choice of the raving anti-gay (but himself formerly closeted) gospel singer and pastor Donnie McClurkin to headline a campaign fundraising tour reveals Obama as a not just a panderer, but inept as well. The fact that McClurkin was a Bush supporter just three years ago makes Obama appear to be totally unprincipled.

The rightwing seizure of power since 9/11 has effectively strangled the remaining institutions of American democracy. No alternative is left but mass movement, to confront the usurpers. The Democrats pretend to offer something else, but cannot articulate it - because they are in thrall of the same corporate powers that smother the very idea of democracy, social justice and peace in its crib. The Democrats will not change a damn thing - not Obama, or Hillary, or Edwards. The people must take to the streets, in multitudinous ways to halt the juggernaut that is plunging the United States into a police regime handcuffed to predatory classes, and a lethal danger to the planet.

POPULAR CANDIDATE KUCINICH WINS POLL AFTER POLL

Dennis Kucinich won the ABC post-debate  (Iowa debate) poll twice.  It seems that ABC, which has been working overtime to hide popular Presidential candidate Dennis Kucinich, was very unhappy, when Kucinich won the ABC post debate poll hid the poll and started from scratch.  The replacement poll doesn't even ask the question correctly and the oddness of the question  form (future tense as opposed to past tense) didn't change the outcome.  To their dismay, Kucinich won it again.  ABC followed up by pretending Kucinich was not even at the debate by cropping a debate photograph to eliminate his image. ABC shows discussing the debate avoided any mention of Kucinich or of the polls showing he had a commanding lead.  ABC has declared a news blackout on America's most popular Presidential candidate, and Americans are standing up and crying foul.  Some groups are calling for a boycott of Disney (ABC's parent company) and ABC.

Barack Obama: Warmonger

by BAR executive editor Glen Ford

...Obama wants to invade Pakistan, the most dangerous place in the world, where Osama bin Ladin is holed up. The Pakistani regime installed the Taliban in Afghanistan, which became the incubator of Al Quaeda. President Pervez Musharaff, a general who has never been freely elected, depends on the backing of rightwing Muslim fundamentalists and the military to stay in power. And, Oh yes, the United States, which provides many billions of dollars in "aid" per year to prop up the regime.

"Barack Obama will carry us into a suicidal conflict."

WATERGATE REVIVED BY DEMOCRATIC FRONTRUNNERS

Special Report by the Creative Youth News Team

Americans, from Coast to Coast were angry and shocked as they tuned in to what they believed would be a legitimate debate.  Instead they were forced to watch a showcase for Wolf Blitzer and three candidates.   Barack Obama, John Edwards and Hillary Clinton were allowed to speak at length on eight occasions during the first half of the debate.  Clinton got a ninth turn.  Joe Biden, Bill Richardson and Mike Gravel were allowed five turns. Chris Dodd was given four chances to speak.  Dennis Kucinich only received three.  In addition to allowing Wolf's friends Obama, Edwards and Clinton to speak significantly more than others, Wolf regularly tried to cut off the other speakers shortly after they started speaking.  A word he would use when addressing speakers other than Obama, Edwards and Clinton was "briefly" to let them know they were more limited in time than his three friends.

Surveys were handed out at the restaurant viewing event, asking people to name the winner, rank the participants,  name the biggest disappointment and make comments.  90% named Kucinich the winner....

...Rather than a successor to Moses or Dr. Martin Luther King, Obama most resembles the Jewish King Harrod - a servant and vassal of Rome.

It was King Harrod who, the Bible says, left it up to the Roman overlord Pontius Pilate to decide if Jesus Christ would be crucified, or not. Harrod bowed to power. Barack Obama's back is just as crooked. He is no progressive, and is only made to seem so by a corporate media that cares nothing for issues, but only about personalities, money and "momentum." Obama's ace in the hole is the sad fact that African Americans are so hungry to see one of their own grab the brass ring - the presidency - that they wishfully will him into being the "brother" that, by all the evidence, he is not.

But Obama's main constituency is not Black; it is white people that want to absolve themselves with one vote of the guilt for centuries of racial oppression. In other words, Black folks crave a symbolic victory - even one that has no substance to it - and a significant number of white people would celebrate an Obama presidency as marking the end of the race "problem" in the United States. Forget about mass Black incarceration; the decimation of the Black middle class through loss of manufacturing jobs; gentrification that is dislocating the dark populations of inner cities; school systems that are more Jim Crow today than ever before, and even less functional; and a war budget that destroys all hope of domestic social progress in our lifetimes.

Black Leadership: Unable or Willing to Address Black Mass Incarceration

by BAR Executive Editor Glen Ford

...
Through his own statements, Barack Obama relentlessly destroys his former anti-war credentials. In an effort to establish himself as a "statesman" in the eyes of the power structure, Obama now advocates a much larger Army and Marine Corps to allow the U.S. to "lead the world in battling immediate evils and promoting the ultimate good." Do not expect a "peace dividend" under a President Barack Obama. The only genuine peace candidate is Rep. Dennis Kucinich, of Ohio - which is why the corporate media pretend Kucinich doesn't exist.

Durbin Gives Edwards More to Apologize For

Kevin Zeese

...

If ever silence was complicity, this is that time. Sixteen elected officials, sworn to uphold the Constitution – a Constitution that gives the Congress the sole power to declare war – knew Bush was lying when he sought the power to go to war and remained silent. They are complicit in Bush’s actions because if they had been honest with the American people and their fellow elected officials the war could have been averted.

Among those sixteen members of the Intelligence Committee was Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards and potential Republican candidate Fred Thompson. Can we trust these men to be president?

THE KUCINICH PHENOMENON SWEEPS THE CALIFORNIA DEMOCRATIC CONVENTION
PARTY LEADERS AND OTHER CANDIDATES WONDER WHAT HAPPENED

San Diego, April 29,  2007:
California Democrats had a chance to see the Democratic Presidential candidates first hand.  Members of the Creative Youth Team were present to watch and report.  The reaction of the delegates was clear and decisive.  All delegates interviewed stated that Dennis Kucinich gave the best presentation and received the best audience reaction.  They seemed pretty unified in this impression, regardless of which candidate they were supporting for President.  Delegates stated, of the candidates who spoke,  he was the most powerful, the most passionate, the most energetic and the most ready to take action. With the exception of Joe Biden, all the 2008 Democratic candidates spoke at their convention.    Supporters of most candidates had been unprepared for  the tremendous charisma and appeal of Congressman Dennis Kucinich.     His positions from choice to Iran resonated with the Democratic crowd....

Kucinich Urges Terrorist Be Returned To Venezuela

Washington, Apr 17 - WASHINGTON, D.C. (April 17) — Today Congressman Dennis Kucinich (D-OH) sent a letter to Attorney General Alberto Gonzales, advocating the immediate return of Cuban-exile Luis Posada Carriles to Venezuela to be tried for his acts of terrorism.

Posada Carriles is a CIA-trained operative implicated in a series of terrorists incidents, including the bombing of the Cubana Airlines civilian airliner that killed 73 people on October 6, 1976.  In November 2000, Posada Carriles was arrested in Panama for preparing a bomb to explode in the University of Panama’s Conference Hall, where Fidel Castro was scheduled to deliver a speech.

“The United States must cooperate with the global community to further the protection of our citizens from terrorists. Posada Carriles should be tried for his crimes and will be if extradited to Venezuela. Releasing Posada Carriles would be a grave mistake,” Kucinich said.

Kucinich on electronic voting

Looks like he's reached his boiling point.

Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-Ohio), the most liberal of the Democratic presidential candidates in the primary field, declared in a letter sent to his Democratic House colleagues this morning that he plans to file articles of impeachment against Vice President Dick Cheney.

Kucinich has made ending the war in Iraq the central theme of his campaign. He has even taken aim at the leading Democratic presidential candidates in the field for their votes on authorizing the war.

KUCINICH TAKES TOP HONORS WHILE NEWS MEDIA WATCHES
SPECIAL REPORT BY THE CREATIVE YOUTH NEWS TEAM

3/25/07
Saturday, 3/24/07, as the media watched, Dennis Kucinich was honored with awards and tributes by top liberal Democrats, labor leaders, military families, youth activists, Democratic Congressional candidates and others in the Southern California area.  Following a string of testimonials about Dennis's integrity, honesty, wisdom and courage, Dennis received the Congressman of the Year Award and an American Hero Award at the IBEW (International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers) Hall in Orange, California.  For decades, Orange County has been considered the most conservative county in the United States.  This is a county where Dennis Kucinich is loved and cherished.  Volunteers eagerly filled the chairs and lined up in the back of the room to honor their hero, who had, the day before, stood up against pressure to vote against continued funding for a war the people didn't want.  Democratic peace groups have vowed that Dennis Kucinich is the only Democrat they will support in November , 2008.  They are working to encourage the party to nominate the true leader of the peace movement and to guarantee the Democrats a general election victory.

KUCINICH WINS NEVADA
PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATES FORUM
SPECIAL REPORT BY THE CREATIVE YOUTH NEWS TEAM

February 21, 2007
To anyone evaluating the reaction of the forum audience, there was no question that Dennis Kucinich was the clear favorite.  He received the biggest applauses from the Carson City, Nevada audience in the forum held by AFSCME and moderated by George Stephanopoulos.  Other candidates received limited applause and most appeared to put the audience to sleep.   Kucinich woke up the sleeping audience.  Kucinich did not just receive a few thunderous applauses.  He received close to a dozen thunderous applauses during his presentation.  The audience was riveted and eager to shout out in unison the answer to the reason for war: "oil."  The audience also repeatedly shouted out the reason why Kucinich could get through a universal health care plan for the benefit of the people instead of for the profits of the insurance companies and keep his other promises:  "no strings."  Kucinich's  presentation skills were similar to what one would expect from Tony Robbins.  Even Sam Donaldson commented on ABC about Kucinich's showmanship.  Kucinich supporters have been saying that to see him is to love him.  The audience reaction to this debate seems to have proven their point.
